Ingelise Arntsen is entering SWAY Turbine as new CEO. Eystein Borgen will continue to lead the technology development and confirmation in the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
SWAY spins off SWAY Turbine
SWAY AS has since 2005 been developing a new wind turbine and has now decided to create a separate business entity for it called “SWAY TURBINE. Concession for test turbine in Øygarden
Sway AS is granted a licence from the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE) and Ministry of Petroleum and Energy (OED) for constructing a test turbine with accompanying infrastructure in Naturgassparken, Øygarden. The turbine will be located at the south of Ljøsøyna, within an area which is regulated for industrial purposes. The wind turbine will have a capacity of 10 MW and a rotor diameter of 145 meters.
Enova awards 17,2 million EUR
to innovative offshore wind turbine from Sway. Enova will provide the Bergen-based company Sway AS with funding in the amount of 17,2 million EUR to demonstrate a new wind turbine prototype.
